Voluntary school contributions
Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.
For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.
School Contributions
School Contributions are levied on the families of the school to enhance the opportunities available to the students. The level of contribution is determined each year after consultation with parent and staff representatives. The following contributions are recommended for this year.
$30 for one child
$50 for two children
$75 for three or more children
Why do we seek School Contributions?
At Sandy Beach School we seek excellence in everything we do. School Contributions are an investment that families make to ensure that we continue to provide quality education. Government funding pays the staff, most of the bills and for some of the learning materials. The school contributions that you make, allows the school to provide learning resources such as art supplies, musical instruments, classroom equipment, sporting and play equipment, environmental activities and more. We request that School Contributions be paid at the commencement of the school year.
Book Packs
As part of the general school contribution, students in K - 6 are asked to purchase our specially designed school Book Packs at $25 per student, they include a variety of learning equipment and workbooks. We believe that the book packs are good value because we buy in bulk and can pass on the savings.
Individual class teachers will advise parents of other items that they would like the students to have in addition to the Book Packs. The exact cost will be advised at the commencement of each school year.
Financial assistance
If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.
Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
