Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.
Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.
You can help by:
- listening to children read in the classroom
- volunteering on sports days
- helping supervise excursions
- getting involved in fundraising activities
- joining school committees.
There are many ways to help your childs' school even if you cannot help at school. In the library we need helpers to repair books, cover books, help students on the computers, help students with their borrowing, shelve books, tidy shelves, locate books, label books, choose books for displays, create displays, decorate for bookfairs, help with sales at the bookfair, make library bags and cushion covers.
Many of these activities can be done at home if it suits you. Please contact Mrs Reynolds, phone (66561777) or by send in a note via your child. We really appreciate help all year round. We will also need extra help with the move to the new library soon.
All volunteers must report to the Front Office to sign in.
